Inspired by the impressive photo montages created by artist Adrian Brannan, I have decided to start collecting photos of our beautiful capital. If you asked me what my favourite London landmark was then I would struggle to pick from St Paul’s Cathedral and the Gherkin (both of which I can see from my living room window, albeit in miniature!) Clearly last week I was gravitated towards St Paul’s because I strode off one night to the cathedral, camera in hand, to see what kind of image I could capture. My approach to photography is somewhat primative (see something beautiful and point and click) but luckily for me there was beauty aplenty! The sun set at 8:45, by which point all locals had dispersed and only a few tourists remained sitting in the courtyard and on the steps. It was a lovely way to spend an hour and I got a pretty picture out of it, too!
